MK17 BALANCED DIAPHRAGM FIRST STAGE
The Icebreaker. Our highest performance diaphragm first stage regulator designed for harsh environments and for use in cold water or contaminated environments. It is equally popular in all other environments with demanding and selective divers who appreciate smooth air delivery and maximum breathing performance in the diaphragm category.
DESIGN & PERFORMANCE
Balanced diaphragm design. Cold water dives often require special equipment, generate a high consumption of air and require a prompt delivery of air. The balanced design meets these requirements and provides an instant and constant high performance at all tank pressures. Dry ambient chamber. The diaphragm design prevents the entry of water into the first stage mechanism and enhances a trouble free operation even in the coldest conditions.
ENVIRONMENT & ADJUSTMENTS
Anti- Freeze (AF) System. An additional safety feature to the insulated first stage mechanism in real cold water. System protect inner parts through ice repellent coatings and accelerated heat transfer. The result: even the stringent CE requirements for cold water are exceeded.
COMFORT
Compact design. Remarkable low weight and volume compared with other conventional diaphragm stages. Four low pressure ports (2 hFP). Two high pressure ports.
X650 SECOND STAGE
This one of a kind second stage includes a unique valve design. It is considered to be the best performing second stage of the SCUBAPRO line due to unparalleled ease of breathing and air flow characteristics.
DESIGN & PERFORMANCE
Balanced coaxial flow valve. This unique design positions the airflow in-line into the diver‘s mouth. The airflow is effortless and instant on demand pressure resulting in a “natural feel” air delivery. 20% less exhalation effort than the other second stages. A new and wider exhaust valve, minimizing exhalation effort more than any other second stage.
ENVIRONMENT & ADJUSTMENTS
For extreme conditions and environments. Together with the x-treme performance, precision molded, light weight components and anti-freeze materials resulting in high corrosion resistance and x-cellent cold water performance. New adjustable inhalation control. To quickly increase or decrease inhalation effort and finetune the second stage to any diving condition including cold water environments. Dive/pre-dive control switch. Tunes the X650 up to dive mode.
COMFORT
X-traordinary valve positioning and compact size. less jaw fatigue due to streamlined shape and lighter weight. Big soft purge and oversized controls. Orthodontic silicone mouthpiece.
