I became interested in diving after a snorkeling trip to Cozumel in 2005. After returning from the trip, I procrastinated for about 8 months before signing up for scuba lessons at Underwater Connection. The day after I completed my Open Water certification, I started my Advanced Open water training. By the end of my second week of scuba diving I was an Advanced Open water scuba diver. In 2006 I continued earning certifications in various specialties and became an Emergency First Response Instructor with Underwater Connection. I also started working part time at UW Connection in the retail area gaining valuable experience in the dive world. I became a Divemaster in 2008 and continued on to become an Open Water Scuba Instructor in the fall of 2009. I'm also trained as a Public Safety Diver and have advanced training in the recognition and treatment of dive related medical emergencies.
Watching fear change to enjoyment, apprehension change to confidence and skepticism change to fun while working with new students are some of the most satisfying things I experience as a PADI professional. I love any type of diving. My favorite is wreck and bottle diving in the local waters. You never know what you will find with each dive! Each dive always reveals something new or different. My dive travels have taken me to Cozumel, Bahamas and Ixtapa, Mexico as well as many local lakes. A personal goal I have is to dive locally, at least once a week, (during the Wisconsin dive season) on as many lakes as possible for as long as possible. In my non-diving time, I am a Communications Specialist for Flight For Life Transport System (Air medical transports). I'm also a firefighter/EMT with the Dousman Fire District and a 911 dispatcher for the City of Oconomowoc.Copyright © 2012 - All Rights Reserved - Underwater Connection
