Joe "TJ" Frank

I got into scuba diving in my mid 20's and instantly fell in love with the sport when I went on my 1st dive trip to Jamaica. Then I fell in love with the lifestyle, the friends, and the adventure to new and exciting dive sites. Subsequently I "picked up sticks" as they say and moved down to the Beautiful Mexican Rivera and worked with Dressel Divers in Playa Del Carman for a couple of months as a Dive Master moved to Cancun finished my IDC and IE and worked in the Cancun, Isla Mujeres, and Cozumel area for the next two and a half year. In Mexico I have learned for some of the best Mexican divers the area has to offer. With Enrique Unique Dives in Isla Mujeres. Enrique taught me how to "Underwater Hunt and Gather". I have made over 80 hunt dives with just Enrique. The Cancun-Isla Mujeres area reefs aloud me to teach in the presence of Hammerhead Sharks, Sailfish, Bull Sharks, Lemon Shark, Black Tip Reef Sharks, Eagle Rays, Sting rays of all shapes and sizes, Whale Sharks, all sort of Sea Turtles, some of the coolest of the beaten path shipwrecks, and exc exc.

In Cancun I free lanced for Aqua World, Scuba Cancun, Scuba Fred's, and Manta Divers. Moving further south towards Tulum. Another friend of mine Luise-Leeal owns The Dos Ojos Cenote Dive Center. Luise is one of the cave dive experts. His Shop is based at the mecca center of 14 areas Cenotes. "Literally on the Cenote grounds" Luise has taken me to Cenotes with Human remains, ICE AGE creatures remain. Names of them are Bat Cave, Barbie Line, Taj Mahal (the sunlight coming in is beautiful at high noon), Chac Mol, Kukulkan, Angelita(wicked sulfur cloud at 140 feet), Gran Cenote, Tankah, The PIT (My Favorite), Dreamgate (I call it "Nightmare and Dreamgate" I love the entrance its wicked), Pet Cemetery, Calavera, Car Wash, and Nohoch.

In Cozumel I worked with Scuba Planet and Papa Hogs. Some of the best Coral caves I think are in Cozumel. I do LOVE Palancar Reef.. From top to bottom.. Punta Sur and Devil Throat are some other must sees. I also happened to make it down to Belize for a brief dive stint out to the Blue Hole. Blue Hole offers a cave like atmosphere with all of the ocean life. "Absolutely breathtaking wildlife" Between all of the areas and Four years diving totals are now into the 3200's.

After returning from Mexico in Late July of 2011 I have been enjoying teaching on Wisconsin dive sites and preparing for Technical diving in Lake Michigan. There are so many shipwrecks waiting to be discovered or re-discovered. Come join us for our 1st Tech 40 class of 2012, we will be going to the S.S. Milwaukee for or last two dives of the class (Super Excited!!) and from there 45, 50 and then TriMix aka "voodoo gas" . Yep this all is going to be used extensively in Galapagos Islands for 2013 and rumor on the wind says Andrea Doria and or U-869 for 2014!!!!!!!."MT. EVEREST to East coast diving check for the bucket list". Thanks ya'll for reading and I hope to see everybody in the water soon!!
