2013 Dive Adventures

Pearl Lake Local Dive Outings
Over the past five years, we have been having tons of fun heading down to Pearl Lake, located just over the Wisconsin/Illinois border in South Beloit. Pearl is a privately owned lake that has lots of fun things underwater, like a school bus, airplane, panel truck, and the newest attraction is the steam shovel. Most of the attractions are in less than 40 feet of water, so everyone can dive!

On these outings we usually meet at the Delafield store around 730am, get any gear we need, and head down for a day of diving. These outings are perfect for the newly certified diver, or for those that just want to get wet and have some fun. You can do as many dives as you wish, and airfills are available at the lake. We usually are back at the Delafield store around 5pm.

We will bring a grill and the store supplies the brat, buns and condiments....everyone is responsible for bringing their own side dishes and beverages. The only costs for these outings are the $20 entrance fee to Pearl Lake, and any rental gear needed. Sorry, we do not transport any rental gear to and from the lake. Advance signups and rental gear reservations are required!

The dates for spring/summer 2013 are:
May 23
June 13
July 11
August 8
August 29
September 19

Shipwrecks, Sharks, and more!
Join us for 6 full days in North Carolina!
June 16-21, 2013

North Carolina offers some of the best offshore diving on our East Coast. (Voted #1 Wreck Diving in North America by Scuba Diving magazine's 2007 Readers' Poll). With numerous shipwrecks (including the U-352 German U-boat), and a wide variety of marine life (including sharks!), divers from around the country put North Carolina's diving on their "bucket list".

Water temperatures in June are usually in the mid 70s, and visibility is usually around 70 feet. Most the wrecks are in 90-120 feet of water, so our charter operator does require that you have your Advanced Open Water certification, at least 2 logged boat dives, at least 1 dive to 70 feet or deeper, and at least 2 dives in the past 12 months.

If you would like to do your Deep Diver course...this would be an excellent location to complete that training!
Our trip includes 6 days of off-shore diving (2 dives each day). We leave the dock at 6:30am and return around 3pm.
If you would like to add on afternoon dives for spearfishing, or other exploration, afternoon 1-tank dives are available as an add-on ($70).
You can bring your own tanks, or rent tanks from Olympus Dive Center. They do offer both nitrox and air, but they HIGHLY recommend Nitrox! Weights are also available to rent.
One of our good customers has also offered to haul your gear in his trailer for nominal fee.
We have accommodations at the Dive Lodge in Morehead City, just 2 blocks from our Dive Charter. The Dive Lodge offers dormitory style accommodations with 32 bunk beds spread out over 5 rooms. Make sure you bring your own linens and/or sleeping back & pillow!
If you would prefer a hotel, we also have rooms available based on double occupancy at a local hotel nearby.
Well....how do we get there? We left that up to you! We will have a caravan of vehicles driving down, but if you would like to fly down instead we can help arrange that as well.
Dive Lodge option: $1000 per diver
Hotel option: $1200 per diver (p.p.d.o.)
[prices include lodging and diving only]
There is limited space on the boat, so we do suggest you check your calendars and get your $500 deposit in ASAP! Call our Menomonee Falls store to sign up! 262-251-8283

This trip includes a DIRECT flight from Milwaukee to Cancun, 7 nights hotel or house accommodations (double occupancy), 5 days of 2-tank boat dives, 1 Whale Shark Expedition (which may involve snorkeling or diving with the gentle giants!).

Wakatobi, October 11-28, 2013
Update 4/4/13 -- We have had a last-minute cancellation. We have two spaces available in one of the Select Bungalows. If you are interested in going, we need your deposit by April 10th at the latest!
By request, we are headed back to Wakatobi, a private resort in Indonesia. In October 2009 we went to Wakatobi and once we all got home decided it was some of the best diving we had ever done. Unspoiled reefs, clouds of fish, all the macro life you can imagine, and the best service anywhere in the Pacific. This is truly a dream trip that is on every diver's bucket list.

Here are some details as we have them so far:
We are planning on all meeting in Los Angeles due to the fact we have many folks who prefer to use frequent flyer miles or points to help with expenses. We typically fly Singapore Air from LAX to Singapore, stay overnight in the transit hotel right inside Singapore's airport (Changi) and then catch the morning flight from Singapore to Bali. Wakatobi requires everyone to be in Bali at least one day early, to ensure all bags arrive, and everyone in the group is together. We will stay at the Kartika Plaza hotel in Bali, where we stayed the last time. It's a beautiful hotel with access to the ocean at the back of it's property.

The day we leave for Wakatobi, we will be transferred from the Kartika Plaza to the airport's private departure area for the private charter flight to Wakatobi. Upon arrival, we will be met be the staff from the resort who will transfer us and all bags to the resort via the dive boats. It's about a 20 minute boat ride, and quite scenic.

We have scheduled 10 days on-island at the resort.....here is the partial list of other inclusions:wakatobi trip marine life

We have Select Bungalows reserved for our group, and are on a waiting list for other levels of accommodation should they arise.

Partial Trip Pricing:
Select Bungalow accommodations at Wakatobi, including round trip charter airfare from Bali to Wakatobi: $5100.00 per person cash or check. For Credit Card use, please add 3%.
We will have the LAX/Singapore/Bali airfare rate sometime in late 2012/early 2013 from Singapore Air as well as the rate for the Kartika Plaza Hotel in Bali. We are also planning extra days either in Bali or Singapore after our stay at Wakatobi which will be extra.

We are taking deposits now at the Delafield store, please call Colin at 262-646-8283 for more information. Or go to Wakatobi's Website
Galapagos Islands, November 6-15, 2013
Bucket List Trip!
The Galapagos Islands.....
The name alone conjures up images of the wild variety of creatures that dominate the Islands and surrounding waters! And we are headed there in 2013 to go DIVING!
Join us as we cruise the Galapagos Islands, November 6-15, 2013.
This trip will include roundtrip airfare from either Milwaukee or Chicago, overnight hotel stay in Quito (both flying to and leaving Quito), flight to & from San Cristobal, and 7 nights onboard the Galapagos Aggressor.
Now if you haven't done a liveaboard diving trip, then you haven't REALLY experienced what a REAL dive vacation is all about. While on board our private 110 foot yacht, your meals & snacks are included (except for the last evening), beverages are included (all non-alcoholic, local beer and wine), tanks & weights are provided, and of course all your airfills are also provided. After all the good food and great diving, you can kick back and relax on the sundeck, salon, or in the privacy of your luxurious stateroom. Aggressor Fleet vacations will spoil you!
So what does the Galapagos have to offer the diver? Let's see how the Aggressor Fleet describes the Galapagos Islands....
"Galapagos is one of the most exciting destinations in the world. Guests will have the opportunity to dive with playful Sea Lions, travel to the famous Darwin and Wolf for thrilling diving to see Hammerhead Sharks, Whale Sharks, clouds of Tuna and much more. The scenic view of the Darwin Arch is as picturesque as you can imagine. The Galapagos Aggressor I & II are sister ships and depart from San Cristobal every Thursday afternoon. Our goal is to provide you with the ultimate in LiveAboard diving while visiting the Galapagos Islands. The Galapagos Aggressor are offering a new itinerary. The Galapagos National Park regulations required companies with permits to choose either land excursions or diving (there are no permits offering both). Under the new regulation, a maximum of three dives will be offered daily; two in the morning and one in the afternoon. The new itinerary is extremely exiting because of the new areas the yachts will be exploring: Roca Redona, Puenta Vicente Roca (Isabela island) and Pinta Island. The Galapagos itinerary is controlled by the National Park who grants approval for normal itineraries and accepts requests for special itineraries. Guests will depart the yachts Wednesday morning to board a bus for a land tour to the Highlands of Santa Cruz Island to see tortoises, lava tubes, pit craters and the Scalesia Forest. Guests will enjoy lunch in the town of Puerto Ayora at a local restaurant (the only meal not included in the cruise) and will have time for shopping. Guests can also visit Fausto Llerena, a tortoise-breeding center and the Charles Darwin Research Station. Wednesday afternoon, guests will return to the yachts for a cocktail party and dinner. The yachts will then depart for San Cristobal for a Thursday am departure. The National Parks Service has prohibited night diving in Galapagos"
We are unable to secure airfare due to how far out we have to make our reservations; however, we do estimate this trip will run around $7000 per diver. We have 14 spots available at this time, but they will sell out. We strongly encourage you to secure your spot on this fantastic "Bucket List" trip, by putting your deposit down TODAY!!!!
